Anastasios (Taso) Hatsios started in the metal fabrication industry in 1949 working for Biotem in his hometown of Salonika, Greece. Even at his young age he was quickly recognized for his innovative ideas in reducing production costs by rearranging the machines in the shop to streamline the production process.

    Then in 1955 Taso came to the United States and after serving in the U.S.National Guard he worked with Dunn Steel in Buffalo, N.Y.

    In 1968 Taso opened his own company repairing hardware for bridge painters. Taso would often repair hardware so that it performed better then when it was new. He would add or change the design of the hardware he was given so that it would perform even better for the painters. Eventually Taso realized he could fabricate better hardware if he designed it from scratch. He quickly began designing and fabricating new hardware solutions for his customers.

    In the early 1990's when Class A Containment placed restrictions on bridge projects, the bridge painters naturally turned to Taso for a hardware solution. Taso began desgning and fabricating hardware solutions including floating platforms, rolling platform stages and vehicle based platforms. Then in 1994 Taso installed his first wire rope steel cable platform in Ballston Spa, NY. The advantages of such a platform became apparent to contractors. Taso continued to work in the industry to design and develope new and innovative hardware for wire rope and steel deck platforms.

    Today Taso still works to desgn and develope new hardware ideas for bridge platforms; continually striving to design hardware thats faster, easier, stronger and more cost effective!
